MABAC League

We participate in the MABAC league events, which are targeted towards the more fun runner, and are a great progression from the C25k.

Results – Mabac Running league

These races are free to Runnymede Runners members and guests, with each event hosted in turn by clubs in the league (our “hosted” event is in the Lightwater Country Park in Sept/Oct).

There are 2.5 and 5 mile race options, across country, in some of the scenic parts of the Surrey countryside, once a month on a Sunday morning. The Windsor MABAC , the first of the season (also one of our club championship’s event) in January though has 4 and 8 mile options through Windsor Great Park where we normally have a fantastic turnout of club runners.

The league is funded by 2 open paid entry events, the unattractively named Surrey Slog, which although “undulating” is a scenic trail half-marathon, and the Cranleigh 15/21 mile road race which is a favourite pre London Marathon training run.

Some dates already to note:

23rd July:  Surrey Slog

We are obliged to supply marshals for this race, so that the MABAC races remain free for participating clubs.

10th Sept: Lightwater MABAC:

This is our “home event” which many of our members help set up marshal and participate in.
