Runnymede Runners Summer Relay 29th June 2024

We are pleased to announce our Windsor Great Park summer relay will return in 2024 on the 29th of June

Some exciting changes are being made for this year’s event.

It is now called The Runnymede Runners Endurance Relay

It is still a relay format with each team consisting of either 2 or 4 runners with the aim of completing as many laps of the course as possible between 12:00 and 3:00pm

Each team member handing over to the next after they complete their lap.

Teams can be single sex or mixed, of any age group as long as each runner is over 18 on race day.

Of course there is no pressure to run multiple laps, and as in previous years each team member can run a single lap and then enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Prizes will be awarded for the teams completing the most laps in each category

Single sex pair (both male and female)
Mixed sex pair
Single sex 4 (both male and female)
Mixed sex 4

The course will still be an undulating 3.7 mile route through Windsor Great Park with clear views of the castle (Course map)

The last lap will be allowed to start at the latest 2:59:59 ie 1 second before 3 o’clock

SportSystems this year will be providing the timing and registration platform (as timing multiple laps would be much more complex for us to manage in house)

Early bird entry (until May 31st) is £15 per person for an affiliated club (£17 unaffiliated) whether you enter as a pair or as a 4.

After May 31st £18 per person for an affiliated club, £20 per person unaffiliated.

Also there is:

A free children’s race with medals and a tasty charity cake stall

A refreshment van selling snacks, coffee and ice cream.

Free parking and toilets close to the start (just off the A332). Map

Plenty of room for a picnic, so why not bring the family to support you and enjoy the sunshine.
